We hope to see you all tomorrow at the 12th Annual Los Angeles Archives Bazaar at USC’s Doheny Library!
LAPNet will be presenting What’s in the Box? Preservation Tips from Analog to Digital in the Intellectual Commons (Room 233) from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
In this presentation, geared toward novices, a panel of preservation and library professionals will use a sample “mystery box” filled with an assortment of items, both analog and digital, to outline the first steps for handling and storing some of the more nonconventional formats found in collections. Resources for supplies and further information will also be provided.
Speakers include Dawn Aveline, UCLA; Christina Rice, Los Angeles Public Library Photo Collection; Hilary Swett, Writers Guild Foundation; and Mary K. Wahl, Pasadena City College.
