LAPNet Presents: Collection Care and Access During COVID-19

Thursday, October 29th
12-1pm

Disaster plans for collections-based institutions have long included playbooks for responding to a variety of disasters such as fire and flood. This year, institutions were confronted with a unique challenge; a global pandemic that closed doors and sent entire workforces home and away from collections. In this conversation, Susan Broman (Assistant City Librarian, Los Angeles Public Library),  Lisa Forman (Associate Conservator, Getty Research Institute), and Chela Metzger (Head, Library Conservation Center, UCLA) will discuss the unprecedented events of this year, what guiding principles have been used in making decisions for their institutions, and some of the unexpected positives that have emerged in the midst of the COVID-19 crisis.

We are limiting this event to 500 attendees.
